Street Asset Surveys
SPI Property Inspections has the capability to deliver Street Asset Surveys and record the condition of community assets.
Local infrastructure can bear the brunt of heavy machinery and haulage loads, particularly during construction projects. To mitigate issues that might arise with Councils, SPI can carry out Street Asset Surveys prior to and post construction work.
We report on:
- Road surfaces
- Kerbs and channelling
- Footpaths and nature strips
- Crossovers, services, pit lids
- Signs
- Bus shelters
- Street lighting
We offer two types of Street Survey, depending on your requirements:
VIDEO
A full HD (high definition) video of kerb and channel is captured via vehicle-mounted camera while the vehicle is travelling at idle speed.
The video typically captures the entire width of the carriageway plus the general condition of the nature strip, footpath and other general street assets.
Both sides of the street and median strips can be captured. Video footage is provided in MP4 format and you can extract still frames at a later date, if needed.
WALKING SURVEY – STILL PHOTOS
With this survey, the Inspector walks the area and captures still photos of the specific street assets, e.g. signs, crossovers, services, pit lids, bus shelters, etc.
The street assets may or may not have existing defects but can be recorded to identify their existing condition at the time of the inspection.
